Editing Coffee Cup Form forThank you...

:) How can I edit my Coffee Cup Form so that I can direct it to send out a "Thank You" letter that I compose. In other words, I want to be able to generate a letter by generating an extra "Web Site" page and have the coffee cup form send out the letter. I don't know HTML or PHP language. On the other hand is there any way to compose something similar right on the form without having to know code or having to pay extra for RED which would generate another layer of code? Thank you for all comments.

Hi Music Man,
What your asking for would take a considerable amount of coding to accomplish. You have to deal with different email clients and how they render pages. RED takes the guess work out and is a great deal at the moment with the discount email that CC sent out. The app would be less then paying somebody to do your coding and you'll have it to use again and again.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

:) Good Saturday Morning Mr. Rohloff and thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly sir. As a user of XARA Web Design 10 Premium, I've had a ton of problems getting Coffee Cup Form 2.5 to work which is why it's been sitting on my computer for over a year now. I have resurrected it because I think I am close to getting it to work. However, I know if I need additional help you all are here. I hate asking too many questions even though it's the best way to proceed when one does not know.
Anyway, back to the problem I asked about earlier. Is it possible when I go to Settings > Confirm Page then to Redirect To Another URL, is it possible to have this feature redirect to a URL where there is a "Thank You" letter the sender can see? I am sure this is a dumb question but I'm asking it anyway so that I won't ever have to ask it again. I am not a techie so this sounds reasonable to me and I'm just asking. I think much of my problem is trying to tie all this into use of XARA Web Design 10 Premium and Coffee Cup. I certainly wish I were more technically inclined. I am learning much here and that's good. Thanks again for all help. :)

musicman...

The answer is... Yes! Basically, you answered your own question. If you re-read the steps you posted above, that is exactly what you would do.

Either you, or someone, has created your website, so it would be a simple matter to generate a simple one-page "thank you" page, using whatever program you (they) used for the rest of the website. Then, using the steps you outlined, insert the URL for this single page in the "redirect to another URL" field, and that's it! Bob's your uncle. Oh wait.. that's you !

:) Hello Mr. Lang, I have started to build a website using Xara Web Design 10 Premium. I thought I might use the Coffee Cup Form to send a one page "Thank You" letter to the person who fills out the form. However, I've got to think how to do that using an additional page on each website I build using the Coffee Cup Form. How would I set up the URL the Thank You Page would use? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Mr. Lang, thank you sir for letting me know this is possible. I'm still learning and am pleased to do so. :)

Hi Musicmanbob, you would create the page "thank-you" in Xara WD P and place the URL of that page into the redirect section in WFB :)

Hello and good evening to you James D,
Thank you so much for responding. My question is, how would I separate the Thank You Page URL from my entire website URL? Thanks sir.:)

If you mean so that it doesn't show on the navbar in WDP, you can go to Navbar manager and remove the link from the navbar.

Good Sunday Evening James D, Thank you very much for taking the time to respond sir.
What I was trying to say was, If I wanted anyone who fills out the contact form and send it back to me, I want those folk to get a Thank You Letter that I would set up using one of the website pages. Now, I would have to have the Coffee Cup Form redirect back to (www.qualityccomfort. com). Why wouldn't the person completing the form not see the entire website URL which is what has to be inserted into the Coffee Cup Form? I am sure I'm making this more difficulty than it is. I am still learning the WD 10 Premium and loving it. :)
