Drop Down Options As Contact List ??

I have a quick question and this may have been answered somewhere but I can't find anything but here goes:
1) I am using the drop down list as options to send to specific email addresses.

My question is:
Under Settings > Email Notices - If I have a To: Email address specified will this person also get a copy of the email?

Basically, I want to leave the To: email address the same so that they will see EVERY email regardless of option. So basically what I am asking is does the drop down override what is in the To: and CC: option in the email settings?

Has anyone done this? I don't know if it works or not, I am just asking as I configure the form that I am working on.

Thanks!

that's a good question and I haven't tried that feature myself yet either so I don't have an answer but I have a suggestion to get one lol.

Most people have a few email addresses so if you have more than one, try putting one of your other email addresses into that list email address and another of your emails as the main To email and see if you get the entire setup at both of them or if you only get it at the list email address. That would be the easiest way to test I can think of :)

Jo Ann,
Thanks for the response. I just tried it and here's what I got:
1) I got the To: Email
2) I got the BCC: Email
3) Now what I got in my form results was instead of the option in the drop down form, I got the email address.

For example on my form, there is a Nearest Location Option. On the website, it shows 3 locations and they show up correctly. Each location should email the person associated with the location.

Form Example Here: http://busmaxrental.com/

In my form results I get this:
....
Nearest Location: email@somewhere.com - I was expecting to see the actual drop down option and the email just goes to the correct person based on the location, but still have the option selected intact.
...

I am not sure if the person selected actually for the email yet...maybe tomorrow before I have that answer.

Not sure on the rest of the info you're checking as I haven't checked it either but..

Do you have it set to Required? If you do that then it will change the default option to a choose one type option and it will require the person to choose one. That way you can be sure they meant it to go to that one. This gives you better control of knowing if they "meant" to select one or not too. If I'm understanding what you meant that is lol.

I have the answer to my question and some more questions for the team.
1) If you set a TO: email address in your email settings, that person gets the email
2) It appears that if you set a TO: email address it negates anything you add to the drop down contact list.
3) I am not sure if you remove the TO: email address and use the CC: or BCC: if that also negates the drop down list at this time. I would assume so.

Jo-Ann - To answer your question I am using the Required option which "forces" the user to pick an option.

So my next question is: Can i have multiple emails in the drop down contact list separated by a comma or semi-colon. If I can do that...then I can make this work. If not, then I will have additional work to do or maybe this is an enhancement that can be made in the next upgrade.

Woohoo - my first post!

I'm using the drop down option to select different recipients (sorry Jared, not tested multiple addresses but the BCC field does work independently from the 'Contact List')

My problem is that like Jared, the results display the 'email address' for that field and NOT the 'value' set in the options.

This needs addressing by Coffee Cup - in my case I have a few options going to one certain address, when they read the message they cannot tell what the selected option was as only their email address is displayed. (also using [Subject] in the notification also produces the email address and not the 'subject' typed before the colon.

Regards,

Rob.
