Display Rules and RED

Hi there, I just got into seriously using Webform Builder, purchased the RED Personal edition as well. Great piece of kit so far, however (there's always a "but", isn't there ;-) ) I'm running into some issues.
PS: I wasn't sure whether to put this in the Webform or RED forum, admin. If you feel you should move it, no worries.

The situation is this:

I'm compiling a checklist, however it's really 2 checklists in 1. To clarify: the client starts with one of 2 options (dropdown), selects one of them and then the rest of the form loads depending on their pick using display rules. This particular design was chosen because of UI and UX simplicity.

This works fine and as expected.

Then I head over to RED and instead of using the form_results option, I manually format the elements with the text element drop-down as I really didn't like the way to results were displayed in the email.
No issues there either.

Thing is: since I have no idea of knowing which of the 2 checklists was completed (let's call them form 1 and form 2), this method means a lot of clutter of redundant fields from form 2 which are not applicable to form 1 and vice versa.

I couldn't find any option in RED to "listen" for display rules which are applicable in the Webform Builder app.

Any thoughts?

Of course there's an alternative which is putting the selection procedure before the actual form, and depending on the choice load either 1 or 2. But I hope I don't have to go that route, as I feel the desired setup should somehow be possible?

Thanks for your time
cheers!
Bart
