I currently use the coffee cup web form builder. however, I would like to have the input of the information transfered to an excel sheet. Is that possible, and if so can someone help me?

I think what you will have to do is save the data to a CSV file, which WFB will do. Then you have to import that into excel. Should be doable.

WFB itself will not save straight to excel.
