yep... got that ok... I can see the files now that I know where to look.
So why do you think they aren't being attached to email? Is it because they can't do both? That would make sense.

Did you enable the option to do that? Save to Server AND Attach to mail both have to be enabled.

yes... I have them both checked. It's not critical. I can just build out an admin to retrieve the attachments. But for a future project, it would be good to know how to do it.

That is all you should have to do and the image will be attached. The only thing I can think of is your email client is blocking them.

OK... so... I am making an admin so client can retrieve the stored files and setting permissions isn't working. The path is

I tried 755 and 777 on all folders in this path.
Any ideas?

Those folders are protected by an htaccess file. You will need to delete those if you want them open to the public.
