I renewed my domain today I changed the credit card # When checking my acct. they added a dollar to the domain renew was supposed to be 11.99 and was 12.99 I have done many online purchases with the card and this is the first time that it has not actually been what it was supposed to be
Do you think that it is out of line for me to be irritated about this? Nothing was said or warned or notified about the extra dollar charge they just put it on there. I called billing about the incident. The lady said that when you change credit card #'s they add on a dollar and give it back the next day. I am rather skeptical about them giving the dollar back. I told the lady that instead of renewing the site right now I will wait till tomorrow and see if they have given me the dollar back, if not then I will search for a new provider.
I've been on that server for 5 years I guess that it would be ashamed for them to loose a customer over a dollar... Netfirms please convey experiences with netfirms Other than this incident they have been pretty good

I've never heard of such a thing. But I changed internet provider some months ago, and they want their money monthly, so before I went on holiday this summer I changed it from a paper bill to one that comes into my bank automatically. I noticed they had added the sum of 20 NOK (that's about 3.5 US $). When I asked about this, they said it was the normal procedure for 'e bills'. I told them that actually adding a sum to paper bills was the norm, since it would involve postage, cutting down forest to make the paper etc, and no other companies I have dealings with add anything to electronic bills. Anyway, they backed down from adding the extra 20 NOK.

So, have you got your dollar back?
Ha en riktig god dag!

On my electronic bank account the current balance has the dollar in it but the funds available balance does not have the dollar in it so I guess that they still have a hold of my dollar.
If you change providers you get a break or discount on a new domain name or the registering of an existing domain name They use this to gain new customers but it also motivates existing customers to leave to get the promotions elsewhere because the incentive is there for the moving person Would be nice to get rewards for staying.
I heard on here or saw on here that netfirms has gone to coffee cup software. I have been on the netfirms for 5 years now and have experienced it before coffee cup and after and I have to say that in my opinion it was better and easier to operate or work with in its old pre coffee cup set-up.
Several years ago when I would go online to renew the netfirms provider account it was very easy to get billing records and current and past receipts and current and past bills. Anyway all of that info was working very well. Now I have more experience with browsers and online related stuff and web sites anyway all around have more abilities in the matter and am having great difficulty to do the same thing So I believe that it has gone backwards.
The Vice president of sales sent me an email today from Netfirms and he wants me to give them some constructive criticism on how to improve their service. I am thinking that I really do not want to have to further bother with that
When you call on the phone for tech assistance or to talk to billing they inform you that they may record the conversation at which I say please do If they would record and listen to the phone conversations it would be crystal clear what actions need to be taken to improve customer service.
