Ok,
After many attempts with many configurations to upload to godaddy from vsd...and after customer service advice...it does not work.

I can go into godaddy, access my account, change my password, follow their directions for upload etc., but nothing works and I am not stupid.

So, I have a valid username and password which should allow access to my godaddy website. This is all godaddy requires. Same username and password to access accounts should allow FTP...but no. And believe me, I have tried every conceivable configuration in addition to those recommended.

So, help me out here beyond suggesting that I need to disable firewalls, anti virus programs and contact my host service to make sure my stuff is ok.

I have another question: I bought this program based upon a number one rating by a reviewer and the review information. Here's a snippet of that review...

"The visual WYSIWYG element of Visual Site Designer has a lot to offer. So does this program's HTML editor. While entirely possible to bypass coding altogether, we appreciated the enhanced text editor—it features a library of tags and a wide array of useful code snippets you can use to create calendars, visitor counters or other interactive site items".

How do I employ this enhanced HTML text editor? Supposedly I can see all of my work in HTML. If that is indeed true, I should be able to import HTML and utilize it.

I am one disappointed user at this moment. Please advise.

Sherry have you tried uploading via Direct FTP or another FTP program? Sometimes that works when the internal one has a bad day.

The review sounds confused. Visual Site Designer and the HTML Editor are two different programs. VSD doesn't have a HTML editor but the HTML Editor has a Visual Editor...but not the same features as VSD.

So either they were talking about two separate programs or they were talking about the HTML Editor and mistakenly called it Visual Site Designer.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Sherry, if you are still having problems, please respond back to Lamin. He sent you a reply at 5pm but we haven't received anything back. It just sounds like you still have something incorrectly configured. Just let Lamin know it did not work and we can move on from there.

Also, I think you read a review on CoffeeCup HTML Editor. Only that program allows you to access the HTML and import an existing website. Visual Site Designer does not have that functionality.
