Hi Gang,

Do the search engines actually consider data from a news feed as "Fresh Content"? I know when I look at the site it appears as new content but I also know the underlying source code stays static? Does the new appearing data actually fool the spiders into thinking its new content?

Thanks in advance,

Jack,

When you have a news feed, you have code in the head of your web page that links to the XLM for the feed. Even if the XML is file.txt or file.rss, it is still xml and the spiders can read that.

No one outside of the search engine programmers actually know what it is that makes your standing in a search improve, but it shouldn't hurt your standing.

Thanks for the input. I'll add the RSS feed to my website.
