No Scott I can't do it lol, I have no CD ROM drive to read my windows CD :/

I install Windows from an external device with an ISO. Much faster then CD. Remember, I format on the 1st, 15th and 25th of each month. ;)

Seriously you can do that? We just purchased a little notebook and it doesn't come with a drive at all so we're thinking to get a external usb cd/dvd drive for it. Will that work? And how do you do that because doesn't the computer have to know where to look? Or do you tell the bios to look for that drive or what?

You can do all sorts of stuff. ;) There are quite a few options out there and most are pretty easy. After you do it once, it is easy to remember.

cool great to know, hopefully I won't have this problem anymore and need to worry about it, but still good to know if it happens again lol.

BTW, you format way too much! LOL

That is why my computer works flawlessly. Why spend an hour trying to figure something out when a format is the perfect cure. ;)

haha, because your method doesn't work for me, I actually did try that back in Jan or Feb when I did that last format. Tried installing a bunch of things at once... umm... don't know what you are installing all at once, but my computer puked and said "forget it woman, one at a time or none at a time" so for me, formatting is only on necessity, days of reinstalls are not what I call productive lol.

Why not just use Goback to have a pristine install daily?

Yeah, that's what we did when I worked for an IT department at a college. We put Goback on all the library computers. The kids could do whatever they wanted to the computers and it only took a reboot to get it back to the way we wanted. Of course this was ten years ago. I'll have to check out deep freeze.
