I messed up my account again but I...

Hey Scott, why did someone, without my permission, put my full name in my handle?

I never had my full name as any part of my forum name, someone changed it, and I changed it once more.

Today I see the same BS was done again.

Whomever keeps doing that needs to stop, as I do not take kindly to breaking into my account and controlling it.

If this same person has a problem with me, I would be more than happy to meet them in person to address any issue(s).

Whatever happened to this CoffeeCup rule ?

I don't believe the forums is the place for that post Jim, I think you should definitely open a support ticket since this is a user forum not a Dev forum and personal issues for accounts should be taken there rather than here. Good luck on the issue and getting it straightened out. Not sure why anyone in the CC team would even think to do that, but I'm sure you'll need to deal with them personally.

This happened to everyone in the past. It seriously pissed me off. That's why the only personally identifiable thing in my account that I have control over is my first name. Not cool.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

No one here Jim would make any changes to your account. I think we all have far better things to do in life then to somehow mess with someones personal information. I bet you that you have some sort of AUTO-FILL defined in your browser and it re-filled in that data again when you went to update your profile.

Just go back to https://www.coffeecup.com/help/myaccount/ and you can upgrade your information.

Update: Jim I found your problem. In the "Title" field, you pasted in somehow this: Jim 'Private' Manning. For that field, you should have only pasted in Private. I removed the name around it so only the word 'Private' shows.

Scott, I never said who did it as I had no idea.

I asked why someone would do it because I know I didn't.

Someone intentially did it ( 3 times in total). In those 3 instances the name change happened a few hours, or a day later.

I do not know how to use or select "auto fill in my browser", and have never done so, Scott.

In the most recent instance, the person had to physically paste "Private" in~between my First and Last name. Not done by me or my computer.

I left it the way I found it late last night so whomever read my comment would see what I was talking about.

Thank you for the reply Jo Ann, but I disagree.

That post asked a question about something that was done to my account in the forum, so that is where it I felt it belonged.

Thanks again.

Ultimately Jim, I don't think the issue has any place in the "VSD and Firestarter problem". You should have posted this in a much more appropriate area. I have moved it over to the Break Room. ;)

All I can say is watch copy/paste when messing with your account. We see you do stuff like this all the time in your support tickets. ;)
