Hello all from AU, I hope I am posting this in the category for some guidance and a response.

I am a school photographer and I need to know which module or modules of Coffee Cup software I need to enable me to create the following scenario.
What I need to happen is to allow the authorised School Staff to log into my site via an emailed link, using a username/password to view an entire Class, Grade or Sports Group to identify their subjects, then be able to type into a set of text boxes, the photographed people's details and submit that data to me to take that text (copy & paste) into a graphics program to print.

My plan follows, I have laid it out step by step, which is open for suggestions, any guidance will be most appreciated.

I hope there is an editable template already out there, and i am happy to pay for it, although I require value. I figure that this is why I ended up choosing Coffee Cup in the first place. Value.

So far, I have a great ISP, more than 6 years without any issues, so the hosting side should be no issue.

A rough step by step scenario follows:

1. Insert group image (via Visual Site Designer?) into a self created template page (logo's etc) with editable text fields for data. Some of my larger jobs may need close to 120 different pages.

2. Create/Change/Edit text fields to suit class or group size. ie:

a: Class or group title.

b: Back Row, L to R:

next text field:

c: Middle Row, L to R:

D: etc.

3. Upload all of the composed pages to my ISP.

4. Email the respective School or Group with their personalised usernames and passwords to securely access their images.
I would prefer to manually create and send this info, mainly so I have control of my security and my workflow.

5. Allow the logged-in users to view their groups image**, identify, and then type in their group's title, salutations, names, etc into the appropriate text fields I have created.

** A zoom/enlarge feature on the group image would be bordering essential or I can crop the file's faces into each row files.

6. After each text field has been filled I would like to create an editable WARNING dialog box informing the submitter prior to submission that "YOUR OWN SPELLING IS GOING TO PRINT, PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR SPELLING AS YOUR OWN SPELLING IS ACCOUNTABLE" "ONCE
ALL OF YOUR CORRECT TEXT IS SUBMITTED... click NEXT. Blah Blah Blah.

7. At this stage, I now need to receive all of the submitted data in any form of a file (emailed) that I can copy and paste this submitted information.

I love the learning and expansion possibility's with Coffee Cup, allowing me to do what I need with my own site.

Thanks in advance.

Kelvin.

looks like a tall order. To claim that any combination of software can to all of that for you, I'm not sure. It would really depend on how comfortable you are with coding.

Visual site designer is good, but you may soon want to pick up some html skills so your projects can get larger.

The coffeecup form builder is a good tool for the editable text fields that you need. You may want to create several form templates so that it's easier to edit them later, depending on size. The limitation is that at this time, you cannot create multipage forms.

The text warning could simply be put on the form, just before the "submit" button, in bold or red text so it stands out.

I don't know of any zoom features for images that are coded on the web page. There are browser pluggins (I think) that can help, and a zoom feature in I.E., as long as the photo quality can support it.(or vector graphics if using a Mac) There is an option for "mouseover" in visual site designer, and with a little tweeking, it may be able to display larger images of thumbnails as a "mouseover" feature....just going from memory on that one!
I think the form builder can send the text file as email, and even save it on the server. Make sure to look into the features in case I'm wrong. It won't sent the images back to you, so make sure to name them in order so that you have some reference.

I would highly suggest making a trial run, with Visual Site Designer and Form Builder (a one page test) to see if it can be done on a small scale before building anything 120 pages long. It's easier to troubleshoot a small file than a large website.

I don't know of any template to help you get started, but I love your idea and spirit behind it. Great idea, and I wish you the best of luck.
