Coffecup.com works with Chrome now! I am using Chrome even as I type this message! I didn't change ANYTHING on my system, except for it just works now. The only thing that's any different is that my virus/spyware software expired and I didn't renew. Could THAT have been causing this issue?

Yet another example of why those programs are just not worth it! ;)

Hey guys I have a problem, just this morning I found that about half the programs I have installed on my PC quit working properly. On a completely unrelated note, I also re-installed my anti-virus/spyware software this morning, LOL! :D

Actually, I wasn't completely joking. I really did install virus/spyware/firewall software this morning, but it didn't screw up my computer (or mess up Chrome) like the other one did. I don't think all anti-virus/spyware programs should be painted in a negative light. This is the software I was using before:

And this is the software I am using now, that has not created any problems for me at all so far:

Hiya Chad,

Try going into the settings for PC Tools and adding the programs you're having problems with to the Global Action List as Allowed and see if that fixes your issues.

I have used PC Tools Spyware Doctor for 2 years now and have not had any issues with it at all, in fact I would have to say it's so far been the best one I've ever used, and I've used a lot of them lol. Good luck on it, but just for the sake of saying so, I don't think that is causing your issues with your programs not working.

Also you can right click the icon on the system tray and shut it off. Try that and see if your programs work then. If so, then definitely try adding them to the Global Action List in PCT. If not, then you'll at least know it's not PCT that is causing your issues.

The best part about antivirus programs is that you can still be infected by malware or rootkits and never know it. :D

Twenty years from know when Wikileaks does a special on this, we will all find out that the hackers around the world secretly own all of the AntiVirus programs, we can all have a good laugh about this. ;)
