I'm wondering why all the things I need aren't in a single program, like most of them out there. I just need a visual designer and a "publish" button.
I tested the Visual Site Designer, if you want the technical name. I have the HTML Editor.

We are not asking for the "technical name" just the name of the program.

Package deals???
What package deals??
I just bought 3 or 4 programs separately to get my web page made and know I hear about package deals??
That is what I get for not looking better on your website (CC). Right there in front of my nose.

I think you got the better deal. You actually got what you wanted.

If you would like us to exchange the HTML Editor for Visual Site Designer, that is not a problem. Just open a support ticket and request the exchange and I will make it happen.

oh noo Steven, sorry to hear that, hopefully you still got the programs you needed when you bought them
Jeffrey, one thing you need to keep in mind is that just because something is packaged together it doesn't mean that CC is saying "These are the programs you need that all go together", it's basically saying that these programs are useful to many and therefore we put them in a nice package for you if you're interested in it. Nothing forces you to buy it, and to be honest you said right out that you chose the HTML Editor package "because" it included the FTP program that you're now saying you don't know why you need it? Research before buying is always a good thing and the forums here are always helpful when you ask questions about which programs are best for what use and so on.
I do hope you'll find what you purchased useful, I personally use every one of the programs in that package you purchased and I use them all the time.
The Color Schemer has been my right hand program for hand coding any of my sites and finding the right colors for the right sites and identifying colors that I find that I like also.
The FTP program gives you so much ease of uploading lots of things that aren't available in your site projects. I use it to create lots of shared folders for those I'm doing sites for so I can keep them separate from others and give the clients a place and way to upload things for me to use. I use it to upload programs for safe keeping on my server, and many other things.
I use the Website Access Manager to protect my backup folders and such so the things that I upload for safe keeping are kept away from site prying eyes. And I use it to create client areas of a site so that certain pages are protected from the public that have client only useage. Very powerful and useful program no matter which way you build your sites, visual or coding.
The Form Builder is an awesome tool for any website. Whether you're visually creating or coding it, I can't think of very many sites that don't have a form of some sort or another on them, and this program is pretty awesome.
Want your site to be listed with Google and a few other places? Then Sitemapper is your best friend there. It not only creates the site html page for you to use on your site itself, but it creates the XML page that is required by search engines (most notably Google) to be listed in their databases. Just about any site can use this tool for sure.
And last but not least, HTML Editor is my baby! It not only "DOES" function exactly as it should (barring a few minor issues that usually get corrected almost as soon as they are found or within a short time of an update), but it's one of the most powerful builders you can use for the price you pay for it. Compare it to some of those highend ones and tell me you can get that functionality for $50 or less? No where I can find.
Anyways, all the programs you purchased are definitely a bundle that work very well together for anyone coding a website or using visual builders. There's no tricks there on how it's bundled. It's very well put together for the use of the programs.
I'm sorry you purchased the wrong program. Sounds to me like you should have invested in the Visual Site Designer which I think you are realizing now too. But I do hope you realize that was a choice you made because it had a program in it that you weren't apparently aware if you needed or not (Direct FTP). I hope you'll do some trial versions from this point to be sure so you don't make this mistake again.
DO ask us about some of them if you're unsure, or even if you trial something and you are having issues or trouble figuring it out. We most definitely will do what we can on the forums to help you work through any issues or figure out how to set something up etc. And what we on the user forums can't answer, the CC Team with Support Tickets can answer usually pretty quickly also. Good luck whichever way you decide to roll from here

And wtg Scott for beating me to the punchline and giving you an awesome deal to swap

Ever think to locate those directories outside of the public http area?
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Not sure I follow you Tom? I have them on my own server (my personal one) in a separate folder protected by WAM with folders inside for my files and also some that are created for others to access too. Not sure I know what you mean other than that.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
