Hello to everyone,

I haven't been in here for a decade. This is a tradition as far as I'm concerned, every new year since 2008, I develop a new web page version. This year will be a bit different.

I tried to create a 3D World for my web site and spent months on this but, I like hurted a big wall. This is a hard task and I faced too many problems. I don't abandon the idea but, maybe another year, who knows. For this year version, I brought back some features I had in 2008 as an introductory page and kept most of what I had in 2011. Of course, you're all invited to visit and please, sign my guestbook. It takes only one minute to do so and brings hours of pleasure for me to read you.

May this new year be a source of great programming for all of you !!!

Allo QuBik, Bien Fait!
Good to "see" you again. I remembered the running horse from before. Fun site! :)

Thanx Paintbrush... this littl' horse is great. I remember people having difficulties to get use to it, left riding to get back to previous page and right riding to go forward, same as do the arrows in your browser. The Jukebox (under Restobar) was a headache too as I wanted to get it fully functional. In
fact, my entire site is to be discovered; there are many active buttons within it and people need to click on them to navigate.

My next step is a major one as I dream of an entire 3D World Site. You will enter an old house, walk around wherever you want, climb the stairs, etc,. I even plan to have a showroom where you could sit and enjoy some great singers perform. There ain't no limit to imagination.

Meanwhile, I surf the web and pick some tips and tricks.

Hi QuBik, long time no see!

I like the new look of your site. (I liked the old one too). One thing you ought to consider now, is that there are a lot of users of that Apple 'i'-stuff around, you know, Iphones, Ipads etc, and they haven't got flash installed, so the flash elements you have will not display for them. It should be possible to get around the problem using html5/css3 though.

Hi Inger,

Thanx a lot for your comments and particularly, for your advise concerning Apple 'i'-stuff users. I was not aware of this and will definitely have a look at html5/css3.

Take care

Is there a CC product (or are there plans) to create something like a 'Flash' effect using html5/css3? Besides the HTML Editor (for us novice coders)

In the Editor you can use html5 and css3, the tags are there. But you need to produce what is supposed to be viewed as an .avi file or some other movie file, don't remember now which file formats are supported.

And then there is the problem with IE. A lot of the snazzy html5 and css3 tags don't show up the way they are supposed to even in IE9, not to mention the versions before that. Some of the other browsers also have issues showing the new markup. A handy website for checking this is http://caniuse.com/

Well...well...well

I won't spend more time than needed this year to atleast have a look at HTML5/CSS3. There are that many browsers out there, each having its particular constraints and bugs. No one is forced to use a particular screen resolution nor a particular browser, etc,. This is a complete «free for all» and a big headache for people like us who try hard to work around and create performing software. And if you add to this all the "i-gadgets" then you're on for a ride.

In a not so far future, people will have a kind of smart card grafted in their brain to connect to the world
and computer specialists will then be replaced by an army of surgeons. I may be gone at that time and my remains won't care for. Meanwhile we hang on and this is the right attitude.
