What is really needed is a program that is able to index removable media, (such as CD-r's/DVD's; I'm not talking about music-CDs,) and that could also "integrate" into Windows' Explorer.exe; just as a "fake" drive, and then your remote files would show on that drive..

One way could be that there was one drive letter for the whole catalogue, and that _ALL_ the files on all the discs showed at once, and that once you click/copy/interact with a file from there, it would say "insert disk X," and so on; the best would've been if all native explorer commands and thumbnailing/etc. would work as if it really was a BIG drive/disc..
