Use Foundation Framer and Bootstrap...

Am I to assume correctly that I am now to use RSD 2.0 to open all my FF and BS Projects and then save them under the new RSD 2.0 extension ?

I just don't want to start doing this if there is a possibility of FF or BS getting the features RSD 2.0 has. Or has that basically happened ?

Is the direction of Coffeecup going (or already there) to support FF and BS under the software program RSD 2.0 ?

This will all depend on your workflow. If you are building projects for customers and want to turn the project over to them, you ought to decide if they will need Foundation Framer, Bootstrap Builder or Responsive Site Designer for future updates.

If you own all three apps and these are just for you, and you want to do everything under one app, RSD would be a good choice.

RSD will always be the grand-daddy of our responsive apps so it would be more like features will be found in this app and not Foundation Framer or Bootstrap Builder.

Some users may not want to use RSD as they only want to build a website with Foundation or Bootstrap. This gives them a lower cost alternative and still have a powerful web design application.

Ok I really appreciate the fast response. There is not a company that comes close to Coffeecup customer support !

My concern was that if I were to open a old Bootstrap Project (.rbb extension) in RSD 2.0 and work on it using the newest Bootstrap with all my imported components for Bootstrap I have made that when I saved it under the new RSD 2.0 (.rsd extension) I would no longer be able to open in the regular Bootstrap app.

However my testing shows this is a moot issue as it appears that I CAN open the saved RSD 2.0 Bootstrap project (.rsd extension) in the regular Bootstrap app bypassing RSD 2.0 ?

For me the Bootstrap app loads faster, is slicker looking.....(sorry no offense)

I have the latest versions of RSD 2.0 Beta, Bootstrap Builder. and Foundation Framer.

I saved an RSD 2.0 project made from a FF theme and I saved another made from a BB theme, both as .rsd files.

I then changed the project file names, the FF RSD file to .rff and the BB RSD file to .rbb.

I was able to open both files with their respective products, FF and BB.

Question: Is this supposed to work this way and will it be a permanent feature?

While it may work, I HIGHLY recommend you don't do that. RSD project files are not intended to be oped in Foundation Framer or Bootstrap Builder. Doing so could cause severe damage to the project and make it permanently corrupted.

Thanks, Scott, that was the point of my question.
