I made a copy of my most recent website to add a new page. The website was previously updated with RSD 2.0.in Feb.2017, and it worked perfectly.

The first thing I noticed today after updating to RSD 2.1 was that most of my Resources were gone when I opened the file in RSD 2.1, so I added all of them back, piece by piece. Then when exported and uploaded to the web server, the VisualLightBox photo galleries on various pages didn't work properly.

I then created a "Temp" directory on the website server and uploaded the previous iteration of the website, and the photo galleries worked as the were supposed to.

Something changed in RSD 2.1 that messed up this website, and I don't know how to fix it. I have other client websites which need updates too, also with VisualLightBox photo galleries, so I'm now dead in the water.

In your resources in chrome inspector there are quite a few duplicated scripts ?

Also looks like somehow the menu is pasted again rather than all the code for visuallightbox in the head before the body starts.

In the updated version of RSD JQuery has been included at the bottom of the page. You need to remove the jQuery reference from your lightbox scripts and move all the lightbox js scripts to the footer. The same should be the same for the menu builder js scripts. As Twinstream pointed out make sure you remove duplicate scripts.

I cleaned up the duplications and deleted the jQuery script references in the VisualLightBox and Menu Builder, but nothing changed.

I reinstalled RSD 2.0, updated the website and it all works fine.

I'm still playing around with RSD 2.1, but no luck so far in getting the VisualLightBox to work.

The updated sites visual light box is working for me. Did you try ctrl+f5 ?

I re-uploaded the working (RSD 2.0) website to the main URL, and the broken (RSD 2.1) is at the "/Temp" URL:

I would move everything back to the top that visual lightbox and menubuilder wants to be in the top and then see if you just have a double conflict with the two jquery files. Your duplicated scripts from before were due to the duplicated menubuilder html elements you had.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I moved all the add-in's "header" content back to the header, where they were before, and no change - the VisualLightBox still doesn't work.

The older website version (RSD 2.0 and earlier) always had the code in the headers, and they still work perfectly ok.

One interesting observation is that there are other add-ins that still do work in RSD 2.1, like the Menu Builder, WOW Slider and VideoLightBox, so there's something in the VisualLightBox that's reacting to the RSD 2.1 update that doesn't affect these other programs. I'm not at the level to try to analyze that issue - just wish RSD 2.1 didn't change the compatibility it had before.
