Updating using SDV3 question

Hello all,
I think I know the answer as "No" but just wondering if updating a 1.5 site to the SDV3 site can you update new pages and still keep pages that are not updated with new framework at same time? I know 1.5 is different framework then SDV3 so the CSS styles are both different so only one CSS file is possible??
Since I have about 60 pages it would be good to update and upload a few pages at a time while still keeping original pages working.

Your site was built with the Coffeegrinder framework. That is not supported by SD3, so if you open the old file in SD3, you will be asked if you want to have it converted to Foundation or Bootstrap. You may of course try that (but keep a backup of your original file!) and see what you get. It's hard to guess in advance if it will work ok or not.

Regarding two frameworks: You have started on a new version, so if you want to update just some of the pages now, and maybe do the rest by and by at some later time, you will need to split the site into 2 projects: One with the new version, and the other one with the old version. It would be one hell of a management, having the new pages, with the css, js, img and whatever other folders at the main location, and then the old site including all the pertaining files and folders in its own folder, and then the linking between the two. And adding pages to the new site as they are converted, removing the same pages from the old site, updating the links... I don't think you would like that, and it may end up in a mess. Better keep the old site until everything is done, and then make the new site go live.

If the conversion from Coffeegrinder to Foundation does work, you would still have to work with two sets of css files, maybe also js in order not to lose the work you now have put into making a new index page (I don't know how many other pages you have redone yet).
Ha en riktig god dag!

Last year I tried to convert 1.5 to 2.5 but because it being 1.5 it was not converting right and with 60 psges Bob recommended it would be best and easier to actually updateto 3.0 by redoing site so waited until 3.0 was working without bugs.
Kept many copies of 1.5 as I learned the Hard way about backing up :)

That is what I figured and planning to do that just need confirmation that I was right.

Thanks Inger
