Understanding Video Platform element....

I have searched the forums and the documentation for an answer and did not find one.

I am trying to use the Video Platform and/or Background Video in Site Designer 5.0-3499 and so far I have not gotten a video to work. I have verified that these videos work within the browser.

While I am developing, I am simply loading the .mp4 or .webm in Bitnami Apache on my local machine and trying to access it with http://127.0.0.1/my-video.mp4 which I confirmed works through the browser.

The problem is that the video is not working in previewing in the browser or when I export and deploy in Apache.

I do not want to use the options such as vimeo etc. These are sharing sites I do not want to be involved with. What a pain in the @$$ just for a video on my own site. I cannot see why I cannot use my own webservers for this or even my own cdn.

What code change is required or other specific requirements for the video such as codec/format and/or required in Apache to make this work? My business webserver is Ubuntu/Apache.

Cheers!!

Hi
You are uploading your video to your own server and you have placed the video html element on your website and put the url address in the website in the element ? then it should work i do it this way without youtube or any other hosting site.
