Can you copy symbols between projects?

You cannot copy them as symbols. But you can turn a symbol into a component and store it in the component repository in SD. Then you can use it in another project and change it into a symbol again if you like. Mind you, if you have a symbol or component made in say Foundation, you can only use it in another Foundation project, not in any of the other frameworks.

I have another symobol copy problem:

I have about 15 pages - they all have the same container - a footer - but I did all without the symbol.

Now I want to change all footers - so I made in one footer the change and gave a symbol to the container .
How can I now make all the other page-footers to take over...

When I open another page with that footer container Inspector doesn't show the red point.
So I mark the container - go to Content / symbols and click to + (Insert into Canvas)
I get the warning, that another component already contains #rt-copy-1. The same ID can only be used once on a page. IDs of components can only be synced across pages..."

If you have made the footer into a symbol on one page, you will have to MANUALLY add it to the other pages first-time around. Just delete the footer on the other pages and add the symbol to them instead.

Hehe, es zahlt sich dann beim Aktualisieren aus! When you update on one page, all the other pages also get updated.
