I installed SD 3 to day.
SD3 was presented as an upgrade to RSD 2.5.
I thought it was just opening the project from RSD 2.5, continue working, not totally redesign the entire project ...
I have 2 columns in RSD 2.5 design. 1 on the left with simpel meny, just a boxes with URL. Column 2 is the main on the right. Opening project from RSD 2.5 in SD3 shows 1 column, with the menu on top.
I can not find how to create 2 columns, side by side, of different sizes.
Row and columns are still there to use for nesting. In the Layout classes there is row and then all the column choices for instance in Foundation "medium-6". Two medium-6 Container Div will start as full 100% span below the medium breakpoint and then 50% span each above the medium breakpoint.
If I am not correct the purpose of Grid is to allow you to design in a much time saving manner then the above method. But the choice is still up to the designer.....you can still design with rows and columns. Right ?
By the way separating the Layout classes from the Foundation (or Bootstrap) classes was brilliant. And the cool tab slider handle on the view-port is awesome !
Bootstrap 5 CSS Grid.
