Hello,
I tried the demo of RSD and tried the demo projects. But I can't get them to work when testing on a Nokia Lumia 620 with Windows 8.1. The phone has a resolution of 480 x 800 but the web site is displayed at the maximum width. Is this a known issue?
Regards,
Rob

Two things Rob. First, what is the URL to your website and second, please post a link to your project file. Without either, we are completely in the dark.

Hello Scott,
I just found out that the switching point is at 1024 pixels, which I don't quite understand. Since the phone resolution is 480 x 800. Does that mean that windows is returning 1024px as the device width?
I just installed the latest version of the demo to see if that made any difference, but it is the same.
My little test web page is at: http://rwiele.home.xs4all.nl
The project file: http://rwiele.home.xs4all.nl/Test.rsd
Thanks,
Rob

Thanks for the links and files. Quick question, though. On your Nokia Lumia 620, are you running IE 10 or IE 11? There are some known bugs with IE 10 that Microsoft will not be addressing in that release, but IE 11 should take care of that.
Microsoft does seem to be offering a way install IE 11 on Windows Phones, so if you are using IE 10, it might be worth the time to upgrade and see if that does fix these issues for you.

If you are already running IE 11, let me know we will see what information we can dig up on that particular device.

I'm running windows 8.1, so I should have IE 11. But I can't see that info anywhere. But at least I know that it is responding to the settings made in RSD.
Thanks for your support,

From what we can see it seems that IE10 on the Windows Phone 8(.1) reports an unexpected value for the display width. This could cause the media queries to 'kick-in' later, which is consistent with your findings — the RSD design is responding but not at the expected width. From what we can see this should be better in IE11 though...

I did a little more research Rob on that device and looking at the specs it says 800x480, so that is probably why it was not working for you on the 480x800. Which is why setting it to 1024 fixed it (you are using MFE).
You could try changing the breakpoint back to 810px (using DDP) as it is always good to give a few extra px to account for different browser displays, and I bet it will work correctly for you.

Hello Bob,
Thanks for your response, I've updated my phone to 8.1 so I should have IE 11 as well. But at least I know that there are some problems.

I will give it a try Scott and let you know.
Thanks
Thanks
I created a new project with grid DDP and I need to set the breakpoint at 1024px to make the windows phone switch to the smaller definition. Any value smaller than 1024 doesn't make the phone switch.
I'm starting to doubt that I have IE 11, but there are no updates for my phone when I check. Maybe it isn't available for my phone.
