Can we report bugs for this beta build?

is this most current version in R&D's lab ?

Does the beta version download as a new, separate and distinct program without affecting the purchased version like an upgrade would?? I'd love to see the flex box work but not if it affects my RSD before the actual upgrade is rolled out.

Yes
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

When I load an RSD 1.2 Build 958 into the Beta, make changes and save it, are there any restrictions for downgrading the saved project into RSD 1.2?

Because v1.2 does not support Flexbox, it’s better not to use projects saved with v1.5 in previous versions. We recommend continuing to work with the beta until the public release of V1.5. We don't recommend going back to V1.2 with projects saved in V1.5. Just make sure to just keep a backup (duplicate copy) of your project file that you want to use in v1.2 so that you have the original file that has not been saved in the beta version.

Is the beta1.5 reliable enough to continue using it for ongoing design work?

When I opened a project today (by clicking on the RSD file) that was in mid development in 1.2, it opened in 1.5 instead. I didn't notice it until later when I saw the Flexbox section in the right side panel. Fortunately, I have a backup of the original, but don't relish going back and redoing today's changes.

So the question again - is 1.5 safe enough to continue with for real work?

Most certainly! However it is important to note that it is a beta and while we have made every effort to minimize any problems, there may be issues that were not foreseen. Those issues will be fixed as they are reported for future updates to the beta or official release.

Nice, I have to figure out Flexbox, but the Color Palette Manager integration is wonderful. Big improvement.

We are using the flex shorthand which is recommended by the specification. For the shorthand property the initial values of the flex components are equivalent to flex: 0 1 auto. See also the note below figure 6 in this section of the spec.
