Responsive Site Designer v. Bootstrap
What is the real difference in the two products? Don't they both create site that will look the same on any size platform?
Web sites are built now on Frameworks. There are many different kinds of frameworks, but two of the most popular are Foundation and Bootstrap. Choosing a framework for your site is usually based on what each one offers that fits your site the best.
Coffeecup has 3 great products:
- Responsive Foundation Framer (RFF): builds web sites using the Foundation Framework
- Responsive Bootstrap Builder (RBB): builds web sites using the Bootstrap Framework
- Responsive Site Designer (RSD): builds sites in either the Foundation or Bootstrap Framework
So how do you choose which one you want?
If you have only one site (which means you will only have one framework) and you know the framework you want to use, then perhaps RFF or RBB are the software that you want to build your site. You choose.
On the other hand, if you will be doing multiple web sites with some in Foundation and others in Bootstrap, then RSD is best for you.
Finally, if you want the latest updates as soon as they come out, RSD is what you want. RSD is Coffeecup's flagship product, so updates are always going to come out first for RSD. Updates to RBB and RFF happen just a little later.
