Hi I have just started to trial RSD and run into a issue.
I add an element for images then it pust the workd picture on the screen and how do I add an image into it. I have gone over all the design options and there is tons of options to do with the image but I cant find anywhere to add the image to start with

After you have added the image placeholder you have a number of options to add the actual picture. Double click on the placeholder and you will then see the design pane open on the right. In the Element section you will see the picture options. Click on the down pointing arrow to see the options: placeholder, local image (a picture that you have added in your resources section) or online image (you type a url to reference the picture).

Underneath that, don't forget to add your alternate text for the image.

Click on the image. Go to Design pane and under 'Local image' in the Picture selection area, you will see a 'Change' button. Click on it to select an image resource to put into the image placeholder.

thanks guys but I dont get any of those options to change an image. I just installed RSD on my laptop and I get it but not on my desktop.
I will uninstall software and re install and try again
