MixItUp - anyone on here have any experience with this? I would like to utilize it for a project portfolio page but am a little lost in getting it started. Its probably simple but for me I like to have a clear picture. Any feedback would be helpful.

Call me what you wish but how do I incorporate this within my RSD site?
Is it as simple as creating a seperate *.html *.css *.js with the MixItUp code and adding to my resources?
And from there how is it to be placed within my page?

I am not exactly an html guy - I'm a cad designer. Give me something in AutoCAD or Revit & I am all over it.
Website stuff is less than a hobby - just slow at work & our company site needed work. This plugin seems like what I'd like to see but that's as far as I've gotten at this point.

MixItUp for dummies is what I need :D

Well.. forget it. This is far from simple - as mentioned at the MixItUp site. I thought maybe there would be something to learn HERE. I understand that it is NOT CC software nor RSD, but it is responsive. Implementing this is beyond my knowledge & I do not have the time nor what it takes to learn it. It's more frustrating than anything. Perhaps someone here can utilize it. For now I'll just keep things vanilla. BOL to anyone who tries it out. Even better would be RSD having this capability in a future release. P E A C E ! ! !

Hi Eric,
There's two ways to do this,
Copy the html and paste it into a htnl element or add the proper classes and or id's to elements you add such as row, columns, and containers.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Ok I did a quick test and it's seems simple enough.

My script is set to randomize the images on page load and refresh but it should be simple to use the example script on Mixitup to use the buttons if needed.

Thanks for that reply & test run Eric.
The more I looked at it the more code I saw - at least in the advanced portion. The HTML element is as far as I got. I will go over what you did & do my best to implement it. It's a nice gallery feature. I found it on accident when looking for a new idea for a gallery. Hopefully it works for me too. Thanks again! I was beginning to lose hope. Once I get it "complete" I'll post the link to the finished product. Have a good weekend

I really wish this were easy - it isn't. The code that you used does not match the test you did. I am still lost with this. This trial & error process is more error than anything. Nowhere to begin but "trying" to look at your code isn't helping. You used a container but you referenced a column. There has to be an easier way to accomplish this. I haven't even made a bit of progress except in frustration. Adding controls will be even more fun I am sure. Certainly time consuming for me but I am sure its not for others. Is there a better way of explaining? Looking at all of this code is blinding. The answer is there I am sure but I cannot find it. Will someone PLEASE do a trial run & explain more clearly. Than you in advance.

Yes it does. If you look at the pages source code it matches it exactly. Follow the instructions on my page exactly and when we get you there you can go after the controls.

Well I am obviously missing something - I'll give it another go. Thanks for the patience & assistance - even if I do not get it to work for me I am sure someone will find it useful.

Finally - it is working as your example shows. Thank you for that. My only issue now is that it does not maintain a center with the rest of the page. Outside of that navigation/ controls are next. Hopefully I have better luck this time around.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
