All my efforts earlier in the day yesterday was trying to tweak that nested menu, and I also dug out the menu from the Coast theme. But as long as they were using any attribute with 'responsive' as part of the name, it did not work. Obviously 'responsive' means doing something at both default Foundation breakpoints.
So, as I said, I had to come away from that thinking and just use a simple dropdown and the classes and attributes that make up the toggling. Once I had come to that conclusion, the rest was actually a quick job.

I tweaked that menu a bit more to make it sit nicely centered. Last night it was more or less just in 'raw'. If you want to get rid of the border around the dropdown-pane, I popped a wee bit of styling into the Page manager. Throw it out if you like the border.
