Here are the steps I took.
Once into RSD I exported the design to my main drive through File, Export. Then I went to Coffee Cup FTP and transferred them to a folder named "public_html.new" as advised by InMotion. After the transfer was complete, I renamed the original html folder "public_html.old" and renamed the new html folder by dropping the ".new" so that it would activate the new website.

Fix those image names though. You are breaking 1,126 different rules of web design there. ;)

K, I see what you are saying. I'll go back and change the names and see if that has an effect. The example you gave the % showed up on it's own. It is not in the original file name. Of course the names work on the computer so I never thought that they would be a problem.

I just checked, I'll have to do that outside of RSD and re-import and link all of them again. Man, I wish I would do things right the first time!!! This is going to take awhile, I'll get back to this question if the renaming doesn't work. But I'm betting it does.

Thank you,
Linda

Images will always open locally as Windows has no problem with that. The problem is on the web where these things have a big impact. File case matters (I and i are two different things) and punctuation marks can cause all sorts of issues. The process is an easy fix. Just use the Replace Image option. It will auto-update all references for that image. Then just export and upload.

Remember that renaming is just 1 part of the process. You also need to follow those steps in the other article to correct the uploading issues.

It won't automatically link the image after I've replaced it with the corrected name will it? I'll have to physically go and re-link them all won't I?

I've printed the article out and will follow it to the letter.

Use the Replace Image Option. It does everything automatically for you.

Never mind, I see what it does. It will automatically link if I do it right.

Scott, I'm having trouble with the software while replacing the images to acceptable named ones. I will probably need to open a support ticket but wanted to make sure. I was replacing the images as you suggested and completed six out of the eleven pages I have in my website. The first four pages had minimal images but the fifth and sixth wedding and sports each have a lot of images on them.
Here is a breakdown of the pages in my website and the total pages on each page.
Home-five images in heading (done)
Wedding FAQs-six images in heading (done)
Contact Us- six images in heading (done)
About US- two image plus header (done)
Weddings- 62 Images plus five in header (done)
Sports- 23 plus five in header (thought was done, but not now)
Sports Published- 38 images plus five in header (started and replaced four images plus header is done, no longer replaced)
Charity Events- nine images plus five in the header
Testimonials- just the five in the header
Blog- just the five in the header

I worked on these until about 10:00 last night and I though every thing up through the sports page was completed. I left off with the Sports Published page opened so it was the page that showed when I opened this morning. I noticed that the four images that I'd replaced were still showing the old image name in the design panel so I tried to replace them again. Although the newly named images are in the Resources and the old images are gone, the old corrupted image name stays the same in the design panel. I checked back through the pages that I thought were complete and everything is fine up though the wedding page. All of the images on the sports page, excluding the heading, are showing the old image name in the design panel.
Nothing I do will change the image name in the design panel. I even tried renaming an image and replacing the one in RSD with the newly named image. The old name remains. It appears that I can no longer replace images at all.
Any ideas? Do I need to open a support ticket?

Thanks,

Linda

Zip up your project file and all newly named images and post a link to the file.

I've got to re-install Dropbox on my computer so it will be a couple of minutes.
