I was very happy to run across the CoffeeCup RSD program. I have been using Dreamweaver, but am interested in switching over.
I downloaded the trial and like the layout very much. I have not been able to accomplish much, unfortunately. I keep getting hung up trying to include images. Whenever I point a picture holder (or any other image holder) to an actual image (either local and included in resources or online), I am presented with a little box in the middle of the holder as if the image doesn't exist. I can point to your coffeecup image as demonstrated in your samples, but have not successfully been able to display a jpg or png of my creation. I can't go much further if I am unable to perform this action.
Secondly, I maintain several responsive sites. Is there any way to import the sites into rsd so I can drop Dreamweaver?
Finally, the holiday season combined with the inability to display a graphic has not allowed me to evaluate the program. Is it possible to get an extension to the trial?
Thanks,

That is awesome to hear!!

Can you take a screenshot of what you are seeing there? If you can also include one of these sample projects you are working on, that would help place things in context.

You cannot import websites into RSD. You will need to rebuild your website within RSD.

We have no way to reset a trial period at this time. What you can do is install the software on another computer that has not had RSD installed on it before. This will give you additional testing time.

OK. I've downloaded the rsd program to another computer and everything seems to be working properly. The new computer is still running windows 8. The other computer is running windows 10. Are there any Windows 10 issues I should know about?
Thanks for your quick response.
Thanks for your quick response.
There should be no issues running RSD on Windows Vista, 8/8.11 or 10. Should work especially well on Windows 10.
You might want to try simply uninstalling and re-installing on Windows 10 to see if that offers any improvement.

I think I might see the issue. We maintain a common server with pictures and other data used by various projects. If I try to include a network folder in the resources, the pictures do not appear properly in the resources (just the name and an empty square). When I select the image I want to use, it appears as a small boxed x. If I open the same folder as a local drive, everything appears to work properly.

Opening images from network drives is something we added to the upcoming V1.5 release (free upgrade for existing customers). We added a bunch of other things as well, including a zoom function for designing for large monitors (on smaller devices such as laptops) and controls for working with flexbox (which is really awesome in my opinion

Let us know if that helps please!

If I use the zoom, I get a warning that the element dropdowns may not work. What exactly is it that won't work? I haven't found anything that doesn't work. Or maybe I misunderstand what to look for?

Yes, the network drive is the issue. That explains everything. Thanks.

Did the V1.5 beta solve this for you?

The drop downs on the top of the elements to select the parent (chain) get disabled for selecting elements. (Several reasons, one is that they become too small for reliable selection). Selecting elements by clicking on the canvas or in the inspector still works.
