Best support,

I have a while ago paid for the responsive site designer.
Is that for an upgrade with many new features, integrate further with edtors for HTML5, CSS2/3 and JavaScript.
All CSS2/CSS3 properties present in your products?
When can we expect an update or upgrade already with the possibility of CSSGrid and even more components and themes?

Kind regards
Stephane

I'm not the CC support, but I will comment on a possible integration of CSS grid into RSD.
I don't know what plans CC have about this, but IMO I don't think it would be a good idea. A lot of users are, or have been, struggling to learn RSD. Just think a year back, you were struggling yourself with it. ;) If you bring a third option in there, beside Bootstrap and Foundation, the programme will be more complex, and not actually easier to master.
Another thing is, I don't know if it is possible. Bootstrap and Foundation are kind of related, in that they are ready made grid systems, whereas CSS grid is not. You make it yourself, with a new set of units defining width and height.
Besides, if CSS grid were to be added to RSD, it would most likely make the programme more expensive, and who wants to pay over the odds for systems they don't use? There have been voices through the years wishing all the CC programmes to be integrated with each other, but thanks goodness that has never happened.

As to components and themes, I think there will be more coming. Users have been asked to send in their ideas. If you create something cool, you can submit it to CC, and maybe get it included in the programme.

If you want to create components, you first have to create the contents as part of a page. Then you select what you want to save as a component and click on 'Create component from selection.' The components can be a row, a column, container or something 'smaller' (like an image, a paragraph etc). But you cannot select the whole grid as a component. Also, you cannot select two rows, you need to select them one by one. Also, if you want to make a component of more than one image, you create it based on the column or container they are in. The same with several columns, then you base it on the row.
If you want to save more than one row, you should rather think about it as a theme instead of a component. Before I had the right understanding of this, I made up some 'components' last spring, but some of them are actually 'themes'. You find them if you click on the second link in my signature. I have been very occupied with my husband's illness and death for half a year, but as soon as I have the opportunity and am able to concentrate, I will revise that collection and split them into what they actually are.
Whether you use flexbox or traditional positioning is really up to you.

Hi Inger,

Sorry to hear about your last months' sadness...

I am sure I am talking not only for myself - but probably on behalf of all here who appreciate your contributions to the forum.

Sincere condolences.

Daniel
