HTML Element Not behaving as it...

I am using a HTML Element referring a .js file to display my menu. <script type='text/javascript' src='quickmenu.js'>.

The menu displays perfectly if I insert the code into a regular HTML file: http://65.60.26.206/~rjconstruction/test.html

However, when I insert the code as an HTML element in RSD 2.0 the menu gets screwed up and the last button moves to a second line: http://65.60.26.206/~rjconstruction/

What the hell? How can I fix this?

Oh and I am not using CoffeeCup Menu Builder (which I own) because it doesn't support sub-sub menus which my client wants.

Project can be downloaded here: http://65.60.26.206/~rjconstruction/tem … uction.rsd .

Thanks!

Really?? No one has any ideas at all? I am in a vacuum here and can't move on until I get this figured.

the project location is a 404. I did look at the posted site, but I am not really a javascript person. I wonder if there is an error in the javascript bing unable to adapt to being in different containers, only because I have a web editor that can open websites online and the project looks great in that editor. Some calculation is using wrong numbers to create the container size.

Thanks for responding. I am not sure why you are getting a 404 as when I click on the link I get the download:
http://65.60.26.206/~rjconstruction/tem … ction.rsd. Maybe the forum is truncating it, so here it is with a space after each /: http://65.60.26.206/ ~rjconstruction/ templates/ rjconstruction.rsd

I have set the row width to 101% (for the hell of it, as 100% wasn't working), max width to none and same for the HTML element. I can't think of any other setting. I am not using any other containers.

The javascript is a basic include script I have been using for years in HTML in order to call an external js file containing a menu. This way if you edit the menu it updates all pages automatically. Works fine in all browsers when inserted into the HTM directly. Just not working here in RSD. I could add it manually to the exported pages but that would defeat the object as each time I export the site it would need to manually be edited on each page and is is going to be a 40 page website.

Thanks for any insight you might have.

You are referencing a js file in that script. But that file is not included in your resources.

Don't be sorry, I was able to find it. But you need to add it to the resources in RSD, otherwise the programme doesn't know where to look for it.

I don't quite understand why you want a non-responsive menu on a responsive site. Hasn't Opencube got any responsive alternatives?? It's at least 10 years since I used Opencube, and there was no responsiveness at that time, clearly.

OpenCube has a responsive piece but it is all hand coding CSS which I am not good at, its very basic. My client wants a multi level menu on the desktop version which CC Menu Builder does not support. But I am using MB for the mobile menu, it switches over to MB at a mobile break point and hides the desktop menu.

I have not been able to find a decent user friendly multi-level responsive menu builder. I started building this site in coffee grinder so I can't use the foundation components.

You're saying that you use the CC menu builder for small screens. I can see it has been added, but the styling and functionality are missing. There will be some files and folders to add to your resources to achieve that. Check the 'yourmenu_exported' folder, everything inside that has to be added to the resources.

I guess I am not understanding the purpose of adding everything to resources. The mobile menu is working fine. The items under the menu_exported folder I have moved to the root folder and uploaded to the server and everything is working without being added to resources.

If you go to http://65.60.26.206/~rjconstruction/ on a mobile device (or even just slide a browser window smaller) you will see the mobile menu take over on a smaller break point. Its working just as it should. My issue is that the desktop menu displays very differently once inserted as an html element in RSD than it does when inserted into a regular HTML page.

compare http://65.60.26.206/~rjconstruction/ to http://65.60.26.206/~rjconstruction/test.html where the first is the RSD page and the second is the menu on a plain HTML page. The difference between the two is what I am not understanding.
