Future of RSD

I have to say I'm a little concerned about RSD. I was introduced to your team Coffeecup some years ago with the program Responsive Layout Maker Pro. At the time, being a Golive user, then switched to Dreamweaver, I felt this was a breath of fresh air. easier to use and for my needs (aside from a few tweaks) I could bang out websites easily without thinking too much. A Graphic Designer by trade, I generally need to delve into all of these other programs.

Then RSD came out. I was a bit wary to try it out but being so close to RLM I thought I needed to purchase this... you know, keeping up with the Jones' and incorporate the Responsive design aspect to it.

So I've been happy, and excited to see possible new changes and enhancements to a new upgrade soon. But now I see another program coming out. Foundation Framer. Built on the Foundation 6 framework, tweaked interface and more bells and whistles.

MY QUESTION
Being a Creative Cloud user (paying the $80/cn per month), I understand the ideology behind monthly payments. Overall, years ago for me to manage the updates per year were expensive and this way, currently because I use most of the programs, I can justify it.
My concern is that if I purchase Foundation Framer, I will not be able to use or update previous website files built in RSD. I'm also concerned that RSD will just be updated randomly as Foundation Framer will be the new Bully in the yard.

My lag in buying Foundation Framer may be due to the fact that there could be another NEW program on the horizon in a year or so, featuring all of the previous versions as well as more bells and whistles. Am I missing the mark here?

RSD is our flagship program and will be around for many years to come. ;)
Both RSD & RLM 2.0 will contain over 100+ new features and enhancements, so those programs are not getting "left behind" so to speak.

Foundation Framer is specifically targeted for people that want to build a responsive website using Zurb's Foundation framework. If you are not familiar with Foundation, you can learn a bit more about that framework here at http://foundation.zurb.com/

Our goal is to offer creative, fun and functional ways to build responsive websites with a variety of tools. Determining which one is better for you comes down to how you want to build your site as there are many frameworks out there like our Coffeegrinder, Bootstrap and Foundation each with their own strengths.
Learn the essentials with these quick tips for Responsive Site Designer, Responsive Email Designer, Foundation Framer, and the new Bootstrap Builder. You'll be making awesome, code-free responsive websites and newsletters like a boss.

Scott, could you please name the strengths of each of them? I would like to know, because that might decide how I'm going to work in the future. You know I like coding my own stuff, and that I'm used to Bootstrap, but coding manually will of course take more time than knocking up a site in RLM, RSD or RFF. And sometimes I need to do a job quickly. ;)

There is tons of information on line.

Why is FF not an add-on or upgrade from RSD? Its kind of hard to see RSD being the flagship, when FF will easily surpass it in sales.

Have patience Bill. ;)

As I said, RSD & RLM 2.0 will contain over 100+ new features and enhancements. More details on that will be posted as we get closer to their release.

Some people may not want all the features of RSD and only wish to work with a specific framework. Foundation Framer provides that.
