Try clearing your browser cache. I have checked on a few systems and all images are appearing in IE 10,11 and Edge.

I'm in 11 - not sure what version my client is in but we are seeing the same thing. Of course he isnt using one that works!!!!!

Cleared cache - re-opened and no change - no images visible. Although when I go to a child page the lightboxes work but no images. Logo, interest rate etc.

That sounds completely like a cache issue. Delete your website and have the client refresh their browser so that he gets a 404. Then export and upload your website and have them look again.
