Combining a RLM site with RSD
Hello Forum
I have finally open RSD after almost figuring out the RLM program (no groans from Adam and Scott!) . I want to know before I blow up an existing site if I can do this. Its a large site 70+ pages site that I created in RLM and its working fine. I am adding about 10 pages that have some hover elements etc from RSD. I opened the RLM file in RSD and did the modifications that I wanted. In the editor these pages work fine. So, if I upload just those 10 pages and the new css folder to the site will I blow the other pages up that I have not modified in RSD. I know that I could keep the old css and try this but my client is CRAZY and monitors constantly. I was really hoping that I could find out before I did it
Hope my ? makes sense
Thanks in advance
Byron

Byron,
Never use a 'live' site for testing. You should have a domain that you use for testing so you don't 'blow up a site'.
It's just the smart thing to do and will prevent headaches from clients that think building a web site is a 10 minute job.
I can't answer your question because I've never tried what you're doing but someone will get in here and give you an answer I'm sure.

Ernie,
Yes I went ahead and placed it on one of my demo sites. Had some time constraints that was trying to conform to but just to risky. Seems to work ok, which makes sense as I didn't change the css for the elements just the the RSD pages.
Still testing will post when I know
Thanks

Ok - spoke to soon
Everything seems to be ok so far but some image links and regular images. I have checked the css and both are the same for the for the image link and image criteria criteria but they are now show very small. All I did in RSD is change some hover commands. Everything else was done in RLM

I noticed that the everything seemed to work in editor preview. So I re-upped the css and all the pages and so far it seems to be working. Hoping that a file or two picked up an issue when I uploaded it.
Thanks
