Almost There With RLMP Import

I created several RLMP websites using CC Menu, CC Form, Visual Lightbox, Video Lightbox, and my favorite, WOW Slider.

All went perfectly well once I got the knack of it.

Here's the website that I run for a landscaping client (posted about a year ago) - 100% RLMP built: justlandscapes.com.

I imported it into RSD the first day it came out, and learned the tricks partly on my own, and with comments on this forum, and I'm loving it! Here's the new RSD website on my test server - that still has a few problems: actionfototest.com/JL_CC_RSD. You can check out my problems listed below at this link.

Interestingly, the Video Lightbox on the Design page, and the Virtual Tours on their page worked immediately without any work-arounds.

Here are my remaining problems:

1) The Home and Contact pages have the same WOW Slider on top. It didn't work at first. It showed up, but was stuck on the first slide, although the linking to it's respective page worked. By coincidence, I received an update notice from WOW Slider that the new version 8.0 has on option for publishing to your own Google Drive, and then simply adding a single line of code in the body. Well, I jumped on it, and it works perfectly, although I strongly prefer having all my content on my own server. When I read about putting the Head markup in the Settings Footer section of RSD for Visual Lightboxes, I tried that for the WOW slider on the Contact page - no luck - it doesn't work, as you can see there.

2) The Landscaping and Hardscaping pages each have a single Visual Lightbox gallery. The footer trick solved the problem for them. HOWEVER, the Before&After page has six separate galleries, and the same trick didn't work for them (although the original RLMP website works just fine with 6 galleries).

3) This is strange - on the 3 pages mentioned above, the Facebook and BBB links at the bottom of the page, just above the footer, shifted to the left, although they look correct (centered) in RSD - at all page widths. I tried to replace them by copy/paste from a good page, but no luck.

I would appreciate any help in resolving these issues, since I want to totally switch over to RSD for my active websites as well as a few new ones I'm about to start on.

Very nice, I think a lot of users are trying to make their RLM and RSD site to look exactly like their old site, but what user need to do is rethink their site to meet a new demand. It's much easier to change a few things so the whole process goes easier. It all looks great in FX.
Keep up the great work Steve.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Thanks, Eric...

The current active website is EXACTLY what the client wants, so keeping it the same is essential. Just need to solve the remaining conflict problems (which I'm not capable of doing - not a good "coder").

What do you mean by "It all looks great in FX"?

Items 1, 2 & 3 in my original post are the problems in the RSD version of the website, at : http://actionfototest.com/JL_CC_RSD

They are all there for me in Firefox, IE and Chrome here.

Lets address one at a time.
1. looks to be resolved. ??? Or are you wanting to use the files on your own server?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Yes, I would like to go back to the "old" way of doing it - on my server.

I think that RSD needs to address this conflict, since most Visual Lightbox users don't even know about version 8, or want to pay to upgrade if their year is up and their previous versions work just fine.

Do you have a page with the slider issue that I can see?

2. Visual Lightbox. On the landscape page the necessary code is at the bottom of the HTML file for that page. . .

<!-- Start VisualLightBox.com HEAD section -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="Landscaping1_files/vlb_files1/vlightbox1.css" type="text/css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="Landscaping1_files/vlb_files1/visuallightbox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
<script src="Landscaping1_files/vlb_engine/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="Landscaping1_files/vlb_engine/visuallightbox.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<!-- End VisualLightBox.com HEAD section -->

So that one works.

On the Before and After page, that code is missing. You should have similar code, 6 times at the bottom of the HTML.

Open those pages, do right click and then View Page Source. When I do that, the Visual Lightbox header code (which now goes in the footer) is not there on the Before and After page.

Excellent site by the way. One of the best I've seen done with RSD.

Michael,

Thanks for the heads-up. I had put the code in the Footer box and re-exported, and then uploaded it to my test server, but apparently something didn't connect. I just re-uploaded the B&A page and now it works.

Thanks again - now we can cross of #2

If we can now solve #1 & #3, I'll be a happy camper.
