adding framework row

Is there an easy way to add a framework row, and columns other than what is in the elements pane? Before, a row coule be added, and columns/spans be adjusted and merged. Now, it seems the only way is to ad a container, give it the .row class, then add another container and manually give the spans for each viewport as classes. Besides creating my own component.

If I understand correctly what you're after, look into the layout classes. The attachment is showing what you get if you select the 'three columns' setup under 'framework based layouts'.

In other RSD versions, one could easily add a row, and easily respan it. Not so in Site Designer it seems. One had to manually class a container as a row. Then add containers to the row, and for each one add size classes for each viewport. Double that work if changing the span. Not sure why there is not a simple add a single row option. Is Site Designer to be CSS Grids only?

I certainly hope not! :o

I for my part find it good not having to work in rows and columns. I found that system quite rigid, and now working with containers, where I can use the rows and columns classes only if I find it necessary, is much better.

Hello Inger, which Version of SD do you use? In SD4 I get only the class sd-three-cols.

Am I standing on the hose? (Stehe ich auf dem Schlauch?)

Möglicherweise... (possibly) ;)

I wrote above that you have to select the 'three columns' setup under 'framework based layouts'. You had selected it from the 'grid based layouts'.

I'm using the latest release of SD4, but right now I'm on SD3.5 (have to fix something for someone who hasn't upgraded).
