I have components made for RSD1.5 and FF 2.5 and just wondering if I can use them in SD3? I also tried redoing a new one in SD3 and was not able to add to save in component page kept asking for me to sign in to add??

Another question: Does any know if I can still use Menu Builder in new SD 3 site???

Thanks I appreciate any and all help so many have given me.

The 'sign-in' was also there in V2.x. You just use your Coffeecup login details.

I think that components for the various RSD versions will have to be converted, not sure. Haven't got that far yet.

As to Menu builder: You are using it in a html element, aren't you? Then it should be ok for V3.

I have confirmed a test of Menu Builder and it works fine. I would suggest removing the extra jquery 1.8 that is added to the header when pasting the code from Menu Builder. Then I cut all the scripts in the header at the end and paste those into the footer instead so they follow the jquery thats added by the SD3. (Just my preference)

Dont forget to add the folder thats created in Menu Builder to your resources to get all the styles etc.

I have transferred my own component navigation menu built in RSD 2.5 by opening it in SD3, deleting the row and column classes and saving it to components.
Happy days. :)

The menu was made in a RSD 2.5. I opened the project in SD3, deleted some other page content i didn't want which left the menu. I deleted some of the generated classes (rows etc) which SD3 does when switching to containers from rows and columns.
I made sure it worked, went to the components pane and saved it.
I hope that helps.

Hey Phillip,
Would you be willing to share your component for RSD 2.5? I am the worst and have the hardest time getting a menu to work. If not, no worries.

Yes I would but it's a SD3 component now as finished it off using SD3. I can have a look how finished it is on RSD2.5 but not sure it will load on RSD 2.5 now? Thanks Phil
