Hello all,
If this is not the correct forum to ask this I apologize in advance. I guess it is time to consider if it is worth adding to our RSD 1.5 site a SSL certificate. From what I have been learning ALL sites must add that HTTPS to the url even if they do not collect info from anyone . Just wondering if this is easy to buy and add and since using RSD 1.5 would I have any problems.??

An SSL certificate has nothing to do with RSD or really a website created by any app. You are simply loading your page in your browser over HTTPS as opposed to HTTP. Once your server has the SSL certificate installed, they can auto-redirect all HTTP traffic to HTTPS.

Depending on your hosting provider, an SSL certificate can cost you around $50 per year.

Thanks Scott for explaining it I appreciate it. I guess my next move is to look into it further and see what my hosting provider offers and also what a 3rd party costs. Thanks again.
