Hi,
While I am waiting for styler is it possible for me to build shop product categories, then slot them into a customized style when Styler released,
or other way around if you like, override a style and leave categories and products untouched.

It will probable take me a week or so to build categories, and by then hopefully the Styler would be ready.

I did not want to hack CSS and images for overall look, then find I have to start all over again when styler is released.

Cheers all,
Baz.

Sorry, but no. Any changes made manually to the themes will be lost. All changes will always need to be made inside of the designer application for them to be preserved.

Hi Scott,
It was just the product range,
please have a look here, it is ONLY the white area product description and prices.
http://www.strawberrycycles.co.uk/shop/ … roductid=5

I have managed to slot in logo's with the HTML add in [fantastic]
to make things look interesting.
I have around 100 to do, so it would be a bit of a chew to do them twice,
but i would not be messing with bundled themes.

Sorry to go on a bit, I need to make some progress or I might
end up with damaged kneecaps.

Thanks,
Baz.

Baz,

We are using the same theme, is it the background colour you wish to change ? I've done that on our shop whilst waiting for the styler.

If it is the background you wish to change, then visit the ../CSS folder.

Edit the file default.css file, change the following code:

/*#######################
Layout Styles
#######################*/

#wrapper {width:960px; margin:0 auto; background-color:#fff}

#header {width:960px; height:128px; float:left; background:#000 url(../images/header_bg.jpg) left top no-repeat}
#header img {float:left}
#header h1 {float:left; display:inline; margin:50px 0 0 15px; font-size:2em; font-weight:bold; color:#fff}
#header h1 a {text-decoration:none; color:#fff}

#content_wrapper {width:960px; float:left; background-color:#FBF6D9} <------ This is the background colour

Cheers

Hi Ian,
I was just wanting to start work on the products only, and not bother with any themes or styling until the Designer is available.
The theme I have used is just random, as long as it is inverted "L" with menu
on left it is OK.
The shop is bolted onto the back of the site and will not be going live until I have completed all work.
As I said I have around 100 products to process, and would like to make some sort of start, but did not want to have to backtrack on work I had
already done.
Unless I am missing something I can't see anything in the product set up that would need to be changed with styler,

Cheers,
Baz

Baz,

I don't think the Styler is going to affect the changes / options and email you have made available on the product.

Just wondering if you have added this to each product or hacked the php ?

Cheers

Ian,
I just inserted extra stuff using the HTML add in [very handy].
The email subject line will be changed for each product
as a reference point.
The logo's are just a direct image link using full URL.
I like this Cart very much, can't wait for Designer.

I am going to bite the bullet and crack on.

Cheers,
Baz.
