After fixing my http 500 error I encountered

"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ')' in /customers/httpd.www/shop/ccdata/data/data.php on line 1935"

This was caused by my inexperience and entering the following type descriptions ..... Grade /A/ Grade /B/ Grade /C/ etc
I used the slashes as it would not accept quote marks (ie Grade "A")

Lesson Learnt, but couldn't the software alert or detect illegal characters ?
