Restoring Store from crashed drive

My local HDD crashed and needed replace. I was able to restore all my data and reinstalled my applications. I did upgrade Shopping Cart to v.3.1. Thanks for the free updates. When I try to open my store, shopping cart wants me to select a file. Any file I select gives me a corrupt file error. Which file do I need to open to bring my store data in? At this time it looks like I will need to rebuild the store. My store is still on the internet.:/

The file you need has an extension .scc This file would not be on your hosting account. If you lost this file, there is no way to recover it.

Thanks,
It was at the root of my local web directory. :):)

I just had an unrecoverable hard drive failure and had to switch computers. Am I correct that there is no way to recover my web site files off of the internet through FTP or anything? So if I ever want to modify my store I have to actually create a new one and upload over top of the old? Please confirm that this is indeed accurate. In any case, I vote for an added feature that backs up your entire store and uploads it to your server for emergency recovery

Unfortunately that is correct. If you loose that file, there is no way to reconstruct it.
