When you link to your shop from your Website, simply link to it via HTTPS instead of HTTP.

Dave, I don't know what your platform is but google "Force https" and you'll get options to use for Unix and Windows i.e. .htaccess, httpd.conf, ASP etc... When a user types in http://whatever it will be rewritten to https://whatever automagically.
