Is there an option to to publish the created shopping cart locally in a folder and then use my own FTP software to copy it to my website? I would like to be able to test the site locally on my development system prior to uploading, it just gives me more control of the process.

I tried to set the Server option to locahost in my inetpub folder but it did not work.

Sure can, just go to the File Menu and use the export server files option.
