Publishing Problem
Having a problem with publishing.
It seems to start out OK, but then I get the following message:
Could not connect to the server: The remote server denied logon. Your username and/or password is not correct, or attempting more concurrent connections than the server allows. [67]
I Know my user/password is correct.
So, what am I doing wrong?
Using Windows XP
SCC
SCD-basic

Have you checked the other ftp settings to verify that those are what your host requires?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hi Eric,
I have checked with my hosting company.
We used two different ftp clients and uploaded 20 meg files.
Everything worked fine (password/user etc.) It just won't work with the SCC Publish.
After working with them, they feel that the problem is on my end.
Where to do from here?
Help!
Gerry

Have you been able to upload before? If yes what changes have you made? Dbl check the folder your trying to publish to. Make sure there's no spaces in the username and password. I had a user that had a space at the end so it wasn't obvious that it was there.

I probably didn't explain this right.
When I tested in the other ftp clients, I was just testing to make sure that my user/password was right and that I could load large files.
No problem there.
I have never been able to load the page I made in SCC.
Yes, I made sure that I didn't have any spaces in either the username or password.
In fact, I took the time to change the password and tested it and the server accepted it.
So, the only thing that I can think of is that there is something wrong on this end.
Granted, neither SCC or SCD are Pro, but that shouldn't make any difference.

If you can tell me where, on my hard drive, I can find the files and which ones they are, I can just load them separately without using the publish button.
That might work for now.

In SCCP it's under "file" then click "Export Shop for Upload". I don't know if SCC has this option.

Yes, SCC does have Export Shop for Upload.
That worked. My website is up.
I can now work on tweaking it. Thanks.
I would still like to figure out why I can't get the "Publish" to work.
It would make it so much easier to make changes and see how they actually look from my server.
If you have any other ideas on that, let me know.
Thanks again for getting me this far.
