Product/Item preview

The product/item preview enlargement of 400x400 when clicking on the small item always comes at the bottom of my screen and not in the middle. So that the product/item can not be viewed in full and there is no way to scroll down either.

I have tested this on various screen resolutions and the problem remains the same.

Is there any way to ensure the product/item preview comes in the middle of the screen?

Hi

That is very strange. It should only go to the center. Can you post the link to your cart here so I can take a look at it?

Hi ad99wd,

I have also had the same problem, and like you I tried Various screen resolutions. However none worked. I have discovered my site works fine of the 9 out of 10 computers I have tried it on.

So the only thing I can think for you to try, is to update your java to the latest version and see if that works.

I haven’t yet tried this because I can’t access the problem computer till next week.

But hopefully if my guess is correct it will work for you?

You can go to this site to check if you have the latest java version.

Let me know how you get on.

I think maybe you are a little confused.....

Java for running Java Applets and Javascript are completely different things. As I understand Coffee Cap Shopping Cart doesn't require Java for Applets.

The one thing people haven't mentioned is what browser they are having this issue with? and do they have Javascript for their browser enabled?

I have tested my cart with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and all seems fine at 1680x1050 screen resolution.

You could be right Smooth,

Mine was just a guess as I can't think why else the same shop, (in my case) works on 9 differect compters but has the same error that ad99wd is describing on one computer. This one computer has IE 7, vista and I was taking a guess that is was java script that made the images pop up.

it looks like I am back to finding a solution, thanks for your comment.

ad99wd and smooth,

I have disabled javascript in the browser and this did make the images load differently but now showing the error that ad99wd and I have experienced.

So any suggestions would be appreciated.

Javascripting should be enabled for all browsers. This also could be a security setting with some firewall software. If your images don't display the way they should you should confirm these settings.

It is also possible that your browser and/or system may require a restart to make the setting true.

I can confirm java is enabled on troublesome computer as the images do load correctly just not in the centre of the screen. They load to the bottom of screen with only the top of image showing, with no way to scroll down and see more of the image.

I will check firewall settings when I get to go back to the computer next week
thanks smooth.

Jane,

Looking at your cart here on my computer, the screen shots load perfectly in the center for me. I tried IE, FireFox and Safari,

Yes I agree Scott, the problem is not shopping cart software related, as it loads fine on 9 other test computers.

It is related to the 1 probmatic computer, in my case, and of course "ad99wd" started this forum as they have the same problem.
