Optional fields not showing on...
On my test site category page customers can see say all the skates avalable and a buy it now button but no options to choose a size.
If they buy it goes to the cart with the smallest size on. They may not realise and just buy the wrong size or they have to click on the size and go back to product detail.
I'd rather have sizes on Cat page or no buy it now button there, only on the detail page.
Is this possible, Im on v 3.7, the test site is www.skate55.chris-ward.co.uk/shop
Thanks Chris

By the way there aren't many size options done yet on the site, one is "Quad Skates" - the first skate Raptor - thanks http://www.skate55.chris-ward.co.uk/shop
Maybe a workaround for now might be to add to the short description to click on the picture for size options.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.
Hi Chris. Validation of the option fields and the problems with bypassing options via the category pages, is something the development team have been made aware of and is currently being looked at.
Right now in the Shopping Cart Basic, optional size/quantity/etc. fields is not a feature. To display your other sizes, colors, quantities, etc. for now, create separate products for them. This is something in the works for a release of the Shopping Cart Pro when it's released or soon thereafter in an update so be on the lookout for that.
Having said that, WILL is entirely right, we do need the Validation for Optional Fields setup and it's not there yet and has been submitted to the dev team for consideration as he mentioned also. Let's hope they will be able to give us that feature, as I believe also that it's a very detrimental one.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
