I have tried opening the same page as Cliff with IE7, and it looks just the same as in FF3, that is ok to me.

I've been using IE8 for about a month now and this forum is one of many that have to be run in 'compatability mode'.

Very worrying when some sites just display a blank page until you click on the Mode button.

I played around with the Demo Version of the Shopping Cart. It works nicely for the most part. I would suggest the following options for the future:

It would be nice if it could create a plain site or code that can be inserted into an existing web page.

An option to add or edit items while online with a backend. Currently any edits to the shopping cart has to be done on your local system then uploaded.

Is the current version of the Shopping cart considered the PRO version?

Also, will there be a way to allow for processing orders offline? I currently have a merchant account that I use and would like to give this option to those that do not like Paypal.

There is only one version of CoffeeCup Shopping Cart. As we update the software we will include other merchants like authorize.net, 2checkout and more.

I really like the software and it is nice that Coffee Cup has all the tools to create just about any kind of web application. In regards to the new Shopping Cart, it would be really nice if Coffee Cup would allow the designer/developer to create their own design templates for their OWN look. Is something like this in the works. It would also be nice if one could modify one of the existing template files (i.e. html & css)for their own look and save it as a new style to use in the future. Is there a way for a designer to create additional templates for this Shopping Cart?

You can edit the css and php files to customize to some extent. You can edit the graphics in the graphics file.

This test page is an example set in an iframe.
Colors have been edited to to fit my needs.

I exported the files to test some changes I made to the CSS file and it worked fine. When I went to add another product to my shopping cart, the CSS file was over-ridden by the original CSS file used in the style I chose and my changes were gone and back to the original.

You may want to change your name to something other than your email.

Yes, the CC Cart program rewrites the css each time you save the new files from editing the cart and uploading. You must save the custom edited css file under the same name and upload it overwriting what CC generates as I recall. I did it numerous times until I got the look I wanted. Or, just don't upload the the css file after each publish. The css appears to be layout only. I would like to see the css area descriptions a little more clear to easily identify what you are editing.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
