Linking to my store

Maybe this has already been asked but I did my store setup. I created a folder called shop on my server and uploaded all the files to it. Here's where the problem comes in. Looking at my ftp I don't see a index.html file at all only index.php. When I input my web address www.me.com/shop/index.html I get a new shop site store initial page, with no theme and just a search box. When I enter www.me.com/shop/index.php I get a 500 internal server error stating that it encountered an unexpected condition and cannot complete the request. I have been trying to get the store to show up for 2 days now and don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Tony,

You shouldn't have an index.html file in the shop directory, only an index.php file. Why don't you try removing the index.html file and see if that helps.

While web servers can be set up by the admin to properly handle both files in the same directory, perhaps in this case, it is causing problems.

ok did that but what is going to be the URL to access my store if the .php has a 500 error?

That might be server configuration. Does your web server meet the requirements?

If you feel the server meets the software requirements, perhaps an official trouble ticket is in order. "Get Support" on the purple navigation bar.

I have version 5.2.12 on the server, still a support issue?

The PHP version shouldn't be a problem. What about the other requirements listed on that page?

Anything specifically because all I'm seeing is code, if you would like to look at it to help me out it is at www.dusk2dawnrecords.com/test.php

Well, it looks to me that you meet the min requirements for PHP version, Curl, and PHP sessions. So I don't know what else it could be.

Fe Pixie is online. She is a PHP Guru on the forum. Perhaps she, or someone else, may see this thread and offer something beneficial that I've overlooked. Otherwise, that support ticket may be in order.

You'll get it straightened out soon either way. I wish you luck.

I think it just took a bit to hit the server because it's up now, I just have to edit the design and add a link....thank you
