That could be the issue, but how are you adding a 0.00 item to your cart? The software should prevent you from adding anything list the 1.00

Is everyone here on 3.0 Build 5?

Scott,
I remember getting a message about a $0.00 item on the previous build...but not to my recollection on build 5.

Now that I think of it perhaps if you create a new item and don't change the price on the item to a value other than zero on NEWLY CREATED items you will encounter some resistance from the software the first time. However, I think once I've entered a price for a created item I can then go back at a later time and change the price BACK to zero without issue?

I was able to finally replicate the issue and get the PayPal error myself. The issue IS caused by having a $0.00 in your cart when trying to checkout. PayPal requires that you at least have have 0.01 value or higher.

Right now the software is not designed to have free items. I will have or programmers put a few more checks in the software to prevent 0.00 items from being added to the cart so this error does not appear anymore.

Thanks Dr. James for the help in that.

I read through all of your posts, as I just went through this myself and I'm new to it.

I have a zero worth item in my catalogue, but I didn't put it in my shopping cart before checkout and keep getting the error anyway.

Regardless, it may have something to do with all of my items having zero tax and shipping (I do online services, so neither apply).

Please get this fixed, as you would be a HUGE help to my business and many others that I can refer to you, if so.

Oh, and I have version 3.0, Build 5.

That would be fine, but can we then have an announcements area or somewhere where we can offer services that might range? In other words, I offer a service that has a price that ranges from $20-$40, so I can't list it unless I put a free item in, with a description noting this and an email address for them to contact.

By the way, I still have a problem here, where I didn't add the item worth $0 to the cart and it still generates the error. I'll contact Paypal and see if it's on their end.

Thank you for the wonderfully simply approach to all of this. It makes life much easier.

Hey, can we use this to setup carts for our clients (I own a website hosting, design, & development business)?

I have been working with Neil's cart and I had him send me all his API information. When I put it into my cart and on my server, it worked, no errors.

I think the issue maybe something with how some of you are uploading. I uploaded directly through the software. For those having the problems, are you uploading in a different way?

I've uploaded using the software, as well. I just pulled off any $0 items in my cart and then reactivated the PayPal option. Still giving errors...

I would suggest trying it on another hosting account next and see if you have better luck.
