3.6 Problems

The only problem I recall having with 3.5 was with themes resulting in the images not adjusting to the screen.

As soon as I read yesterday that 3.6 was available I downloaded it and installed it. When I tried to upload my store in 3.6, nothing but problems. I added replies to the thread
Shopping Cart Creator and Shopping Cart Designer Announcements
. To repeat, I uninstalled 3.6, installed it again and turned publish to off for all be about six categories. This was how I populated my store originally. Publish a few categories and once successful I publish more. I finally was successful in loading my store so off to bed.

This morning I checked and realized that many of my images were missing plus one item that was in one category was duplicatedm Large Turquoise and Coral Sterling Cuff Bracelet
. Interestingly this was the one item I had added an option to. One item had this new option and the other did not. I turned a few more categories to publish on. I have not been able to successfully upload. I uninstalled 3.6 and re-booted my computer. I deleted temporary files. I again downloaded 3.6 and tried again. After attempting to upload the shop I got this error message:

error while uploading full_2_317.jpg
Finished uploading, please try again

I was using film noir 1024px

I'm currently trying again this time using the smaller theme width. More to follow.

Our WiFi is rather slow today as is often the case, never stopped me from uploading my shop with 3.5.

Failed again but I'm trying once more. The WiFi is rather slow, 18 to 24 mbps with a "good" signal quality. Slow as this is I was able to load using 3.5. Could the slow WiFi be the problem? Should I uninstall 3.6 and reinstall 3.5? Will my shop be backward compatible? I have a back-up from a few days ago if not. Help! I'd post this in Get Support, however, I wonder if any out are having problems.
Thanks

If the WiFi speed is in question (and I'm not sure if it could cause this problem or not), I'd recommend setting up a temporary hardline (Ethernet) and try that.

I would also doubt that your 3.6 shop would be backward compatible with 3.5, but it very well may be. I'd make sure to hang on to the backup that you have. I'd also suggest that you put a trouble ticket in on this issue. There are many helpful people here, in the forum, including CC staffers but the quickest way to ensure the folks at CC see this and are able to start helping you would be a trouble ticket. Most of us here are just users of the software, although there have been some pretty good problems solved here.

Once you save in 3.6 you cannot go back to 3.5 because of changes to your SCC file. The FTP portion of 3.6 however is the same as version 3.0, we have not made any changes to the uploading controls. I would think there is some other factor at play there.

All those issues sound to me like a bad upload. Maybe try manually deleting your shop from your Website and then re-upload again.

We also just posted Shopping Cart Creator 3.6 build 2689 that had a small change to the css files. You may want to download the latest version as well. If you still have issues, I would suggest opening a support ticket so we can look into this further.

I uninstalled 3.6 and downloaded the latest update. It took about an hour to upload my shop, however, success! I'm now turning the publish icon on a few categories at a time and uploading, then a few more categories, etc.

My shop looked OK but I'll check it out more closely for missing images and such. The double appearance of the item where I had added the option was corrected, i.e, only one appearance. However, before I uploaded the shop I removed the option.

Our WiFi continues to swing wrt speed, however, free is free.

Thanks for your help Scott. By the time I have Pro, hopefully in the first 500, I should be back to Arizona and broadband and much higher speed so I'll be ready to go.

Oops, my latest attempt failed, however, the categories that were upload earlier appear to be OK and all images I checked were there. I need to use another theme but for now I just want to get all of my store published. To be continued.
Thanks again

Was this ever resolved?

I was changing the background of the product images and got the same error as Sally had. Just another file name.

An error while uploading : authnetrelay.php
Finished uploading, Please try again.

I went to the store and it said something about a missing payment account but the store would not load. (it is not there at all now)

So I deleted the store folder and all files and tried to re-upload. Same problem just some other file name. I kept trying and kept getting new file name errors. Now it is back to the authnetrelay.php file error.

I tried uploading to my other host server and had the same problem. authnetrelay.php file error.

I uninstalled SCC and reinstalled it with no improvement. Still no on-line web store.

So I put the program on the ole XW system with no luck there either.

I have been editing this store a little every day for a month and now it no longer works.

I guess I can put in in problem ticket. But I feel sure this has been resolved by someone in the past year.

Thanks for any help

I found the problem and got it working but have no idea of what happened to cause the problem.

I deleted the last three product images I uploaded and re-uploaded the store, everything works.

So I put the images back in and re-uploaded again and it still works.

Must have been a corrupt jpg file?

Maybe this resolves this error.

:) I'm happy now :)

If you are still using 3.6 you should really update to v 3.7 There have been many changes since that build.
